In Naoya, the height difference between the Fukui River Bridge and the riverbed level is over 20 m. A geological survey conducted as part of the excavation of Fukui Cave revealed that the gap was caused when a landslide changed the course of the river. It is amazing that the land subsidence measures almost the height of a railroad bridge.
